What's new with Reginald Cole/In Concert in 2010?
This year is already proving to be full of opportunities and possibilities for new partnerships as Reginald Cole/In Concert reaches into the heart of Baltimore City's urban communities in an effort to bring the joy of motion, discovery of self-expression and appreciation for dance as an art form to children in partnership with the Healthy Families/Healthy Communities Program of the Black Mental Health Alliance for Education and Consultation, Inc. This parental involvement and wellness initiative is designed to improve the quality of life and improve family wellness in and around our communities through education and training. This opportunity has given Reginald the chance to teach dance to children who might not otherwise experience a dance class and receive dance training.
In addition, Reginald continues his dance classes at the Morton Street Dance Studio in Baltimore, MD. Reginald's classes at Morton Street Dance Studio give children the chance to progress in their technical proficiency and understanding of performance and dance vocabulary as aspiring pre-professional dancers with a focus on Modern dance technique and West African dance.
Reginald is honored to perform as guest artist for the "Celebrate New Life" Dance Conference presented by Kingdom Arts Institute International in Cincinnati, OH in March 2010! He will return as a guest dance instructor to Towson University on March 11 focusing on Modern dance technique. Thanks to Mrs. Fisher-Harrell, Director of the Towson University Dance Company, for inviting Reginald back to teach once again!
Stay tuned as we get ready to head back to the rehearsal studio for updates about new upcoming performances, classes and auditions. Yes, auditions!! You'll see new information forthcoming in the weeks ahead.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
